Loving who you are

Studio closed - as of Sept. 13. Today, we are profoundly saddened to have to make such a difficult and painful decision. It has been ten years that Inner vision Yoga has been an open, inclusive and inviting studio in our community. Built with love, passion, dedication and respect. We had every intention on continuing along this path for many more years. However, due to the current Vaccine Passport Mandate we know we cannot accept discriminating against any particular person. The mandate goes against who we are as yoga teachers and studio owners. Our doors have always been open and accepting to everyone without judgment of who they are, where they are from and how they live. We support our community and support the informed decisions that individuals make based on their own health concerns, religion, background and lifestyle. We are not against vaccinations and we are both fully vaccinated but Yoga is not meant to be exclusive and we will not be turning anyone away. We live the yoga that we teach and to live that in truth we must stand for who we are. We are showing up to this issue in the only way we can.
It is unfortunate beyond words that we have come so far over ten years and recently through lockdowns and restrictions to end here but we are very clear that we are doing the right thing.
It is incomprehensible that yoga has been deemed unessential and though retail stores and big box stores do not need to enforce passports, all the places that bring people together in a healthy, bonding, creative and meaningful way do. Our studio is where we share yoga with our community, building meaningful relationships while connecting to who we truly are.
We believe yoga to be essential and we wish more than anything that the Govt’ deemed it as such.
Our grief in knowing we will no longer meet you at Inner Vision Yoga is deep. For ten years you all have been what we look forward to every day and we sincerely regret not saying good-bye in person. But we were given a very short time to prepare. We truly love you all and are eternally grateful for each and every moment we shared with you. Closing our studio is a profound heart break for both of us and we wish we were not in this situation.
There is no way to describe how meaningful this fruitful, loving, fulfilling and beautiful experience has been for us at Inner Vision Yoga – it is beyond words.
May our paths cross in the future so we may meet once again on this journey of life.
Our love for yoga continues and we intend to offer our teaching privately in our community. Please contact us individually if you want yoga in your home or another indoor/outdoor location.
May you be well, may you be safe, may you be happy and may you be at ease in your community – always.
Lara and Jenn
